Biography

Roberta Dessí is Associate Professor of Economics at TSE and Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). One strand of her research studies beliefs and motivation (including motivated beliefs, image concerns, memory biases) and their implications for economic behaviour, combining theoretical, experimental and other empirical methods. A second strand studies firms, finance and incentives, with a particular interest in start-up firms, innovation, and venture capital. Her research has been published in journals including the American Economic Review, the RAND Journal of Economics, and the Economic Journal.
