Abstract

130 visitors discovered the modern building of the Toulouse School of Economics, part of the Toulouse Capitole University heritage, during the 2023 European Heritage Days. Recently built with 300,000 pink bricks and large areas of glass, the Toulouse School of Economics building stands in the heart of Toulouse's Saint-Pierre district. Thanks to its modern, innovative architecture, its two Irish architects, Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara of Grafton Architects, were awarded the 2020 Pritzker Prize, considered to be the Nobel Prize for architecture. On the occasion of the 2023 European Heritage Days, we invite you to come and discover the Cloister of Heaven and its modern setting. A 1-hour guided tour by architecture students from Toulouse will explain the genesis of the building, the engineering behind it and the architectural vision of Grafton Architects.
