Biography

Leah studies political behavior in sub-Saharan Africa and examines questions of citizen engagement, compliance, and government accountability using extensive fieldwork, experiments, and surveys. Her current book project investigates how social norms influence political participation in semi-authoritarian systems. Leah received her PhD in political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2018.
