Each year, l'Institut de France - Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques awards prizes for the best works or for the most meritorious actions. The Zerilli-Marimo Prize awards a research which highlights the role of the liberal economy in the progress of societies and the future of mankind.
The laureate 2020 is Paul Seabright for the whole of his work.
Paul is Director (since September 2012) of the IAST. Paul also teachs economics at Toulouse School of Economics. He has written several books: The War of the Sexes, The Company of Strangers: A Natural History of Economic Life.
He has written op-eds in the french newspaper Le Monde for years: address social, historical, technological and political issues through the prism of research.
