Did World War I permanently change the French society? I will present a series of projects that analyze whether and how the Great War affected different dimensions of the French economy, including the role of women in the labor and social spheres or the geographical structures of the industrial system. I will also discuss how the combination of applied econometrics together with historical methods and data science techniques can potentially be valuable to the field of economic history from an interdisciplinary perspective.;
