Résumé
Concluding part of a larger book project on 'Children Learning Across Cultures', the chapter summarized in this talk aims at helping researchers interact with the policy world. The book is mainly targeting psychologists, anthropologists and other researchers working on children learning in a cross cultural setting. Such categories tend not to interact much with policy makers and have a very fuzzy view of what policy consists of. The main goals of the chapter are describing the policy making process and actors, presenting some relevant concept such as evidence based policy and suggesting avenues for impacting policy for researchers in scientific fields that have only very limited contacts with the policy world. As a member such fields, I am myself quite naive about policy, so that the presentation will be much of a work-in-progress, with the hope to harness insight from the very brilliant minds of IAST and TSE policy experts.
