Résumé

Children are 'cultural magnets': from infancy they learn easily from others, and as they develop, they become skilled imitators who track and adopt the beliefs of their social group. In this talk, I will present some of my recent developmental work on children's flexible social learning as well as their capacity for innovation and creative problem-solving.
